That was my original choice, as I wanted the website to be as international and language-agnostic as possible. Unfortunately, this address is currently being hogged by someone who's trying to get €3,000 for it. I refuse to post a link to it, as I don't want this person to get the misguided notion that the URL is desirable because someone posted a link to it. I would advise you not to encourage him/her/it by visiting www.271.com. I have to say it without restraint: I hate web hogs. They are a plague on the system. If anyone knows of any way to break this impasse, I would of course welcome your . I would repay this service with a mention on this very website!

Other combinations of these three digits are either currently in use by someone else, or being hogged by the same guy. Besides, 271 is the only combination that I wanted.

About the digits

This is one of those things that can't be rationally defended, nor intelligently explained. I am not superstitious, nor am I a numerologist. I do not claim that any of the following is particularly clever or inspired. It's just what it is. Feel free to . So here is the explanation:

2 is the day of my birthday.

7 is the month of my birthday. Also the day of my sister's birthday.

1 is the day of my father's birthday.

2, 7 and 1 combinations: My mother's birthday month is the 11th. My sister's is the 12th. My mother's birthday is the (27 + 1) 28th. My father's birth month is the (7 + 1) 8th.

Disappointed? Well, it's not like I promised that it woud be deep, thoughtful or otherwise impressive. It just is. But admit it, it's kinda nice to know anyway, isn't it?

Being an avid hockey player, I have always chosen these numbers either alone or in combination for my jerseys, though I normally prefer 27 if it's available.
